Terms of Service

1. Overview

Fatelore ("we", "us") is an AI-assisted divination and entertainment service offering Tarot, I-Ching, BaZi, Astrology, Face-reading, Partner-portrait generation, and Life-timeline features. We operate at https://fatelore.com.

All readings are entertainment generated by AI models grounded in traditional frameworks. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Do not make material life decisions based on these results.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, purchasing credits, or using any feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Age and account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the service.

Authentication is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Credits and payment

We use a prepaid credit model. You purchase credits through Stripe; each reading consumes a fixed number of credits listed on the purchase page.

Credits are non-transferable. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. Credits are automatically returned when a task fails on our side.

5. User content and prohibited use

Some features (Face-reading, Life-timeline) accept uploaded images. You represent that you own the rights to the images you upload. Do not upload photos of minors, photos of other people without their consent, or content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or otherwise violates platform rules.

Uploads are screened by OpenAI omni-moderation, but you remain responsible for what you upload.

You may not: (a) abuse, scrape, or attack the service; (b) bypass rate limits or authentication; (c) use the service for fraud, harassment, or other unlawful purposes; (d) reverse-engineer, scrape, or commercially resell generated content.

6. Intellectual property

The service code, design, trademarks, copy, and related assets belong to Fatelore. AI-generated text and images are yours to use within these Terms; we retain the right to use anonymized aggregate data to improve the service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided for entertainment only. AI models can be wrong or biased; outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a reading.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fatelore's total liability is capped at the amount you paid us during the preceding 12 months.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account. Your personal data will be permanently deleted; past credit transactions are kept in anonymized form for accounting purposes.

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms. Where possible, unconsumed credits will be refunded pro-rata.

9. Changes

We update features, pricing, and these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
